~ The Runaway Princess ~

Lexae was born into a rather wealthy family, and was always treated like a princess. She always got anything she ever desired. Her parents chose to buy her love, rather than earn it. However, this does not mean that she is a spoiled woman either. While her parents never lavished affection on her, her maid always did. All the servants of her house adored her, and each one had a hand in her upbringing. Lexae is a selfless girl who would do anything for those close to her.

Being born into such wealth came with a price, though. When she turned sixteen she was told that she had been betrothed at birth. This came as a terrible shock to her, but at the time Lexae was still very loyal to her parents. She agreed to meet with the man she was to marry. He was a horrible person though. He had been in his late twenties when she was born. He held a respectable title in society but he only wanted a wife he could control. All through their meeting he had never taken his eyes off of her body. He made it very clear that she'd never be anything more to him than a slave to bear children and plan stuffy socialite parties. Lexae just couldn't subject herself to that kind of life.

Lexae ran way from home on her eighteenth birthday, the very same day of her forced wedding. Life has been hard for her since then, and her parents are probably still looking for her, but she intends to walk her own path in life.
